Plain-language terms for the Imaginarium beta. This is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
1. What this is
An audio and video transcription service, currently in beta. Expect errors, interruptions and changes.
2. Trial file
One recording up to 120 minutes, free, with no payment card required. All core features are included: speaker separation, timestamps, editing, TXT and JSON export, and deletion.
3. Price
After the trial, US$12 per month including 15 hours of processing. Additional hours are available at 10 hours for US$8, arranged separately.
4. Rollover
Unused hours carry over to the next month only, once. After that they expire.
5. How hours are counted
Hours are counted on the duration of recordings submitted for processing, not on those that complete successfully. If processing failed because of a fault on our side, tell us and we will credit the hours.
6. Renewal and cancellation
A subscription renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the subscription page. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
7. Refunds
If the service did not do what was promised, contact us and we will refund the period. We will not argue about it. Refunds are returned by the original payment method.
8. Failed payment
If a payment fails, we will contact you before anything changes. There is no instant lockout.
9. Service limitations
This is a beta with no availability guarantee. Accuracy depends on recording quality. Transcripts are not certified and are not legally admissible. Processing is performed by a third-party service — see Privacy and data. Features may change or be withdrawn.
10. Storage and deletion
Files and transcripts are kept until you delete them. There is no automatic expiry. Deletion is irreversible and removes the audio file, the transcript and its segments. Only a usage record remains, noting the amount processed, with no text. Cancelling a subscription never deletes your data.
11. Privacy
Files are stored privately and only your account has access. Audio is sent to a third-party transcription provider in order to produce the transcript. The full description is on the Privacy and data page.
12. Ending participation
You may stop at any time. Tell us and we will delete your account and all its data. We may also end the beta entirely, with advance notice.
